Everything Eliana does stems from a deep passion for Jewish life and learning.
Song-leading, song-writing, prayer leading, educating... It's all directed from one heart and towards one goal:
To help individuals discover themselves within the depth and richness of Jewish life, and to take ownership of their Judaism.
Raised in Memphis, TN on soul music and synagogue life, Eliana's songs have been featured on PJ Library compilations and are used by educators, song-leaders, and clergy all over the country. Eliana has performed and taught throughout the United States, including at the Union for Reform Judaism Biennial, the NewCAJE Jewish Education Conference, Limmud New York, and the DeLeT Masters Program.
She is the author of Hebrew in Harmony, a curriculum published by Behrman House that teaches prayer and Hebrew through music.
She currently lives in New York City, where she is the Music Educator at B'nai Jeshurun. She graduated the Jewish Theological Seminary with a Masters in Experiential Jewish Education in 2016. While in NYC, Eliana has worked with other amazing organizations including Park Avenue Synagogue, the JCC of Manhattan, Romemu, The New Shul, and Lab/Shul. She is also the co-founder of Shira B'dira, a singing-focused traditional egalitarian prayer community.
